A couple of odd issues

Firstly, when reversing up our slightly sloping driveway and with full left lock there is a knocking sound from the rear drivers side of the car (probably around the back wheel). I have never noticed this when reversing on a flat car park for example, only when reversing up hill and only with full left lock Confused

Secondly (only noticed when reversing), there is a strange almost sonar like noise (no it isn't the parking sensors Laughing ) that is faint and I suspect it might be what some describe as 'pinking'.

Any thoughts on the above Question LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Don't think it's DMF. It's always preceded by clutch slip.
Knocking on full lock is a sign of CV joint problems. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

CV = constant velocity. The joint between the front wheel and driveshaft.

No idea what your pinking noise could be.
Good news is that it's not DMF if your clutch is not slipping Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Yes they were swapped back today but I should add that this issue started a couple of weeks ago. Weird how it's only uphill and with left lock. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
