Not going to bother doing a January Picture Competition you have just won Shocked

That is Brochure quality, send it LR.

Or your local TV station and you could have it up just before the local weather forcast

The colours of the car contrasting on the scenery and the sky complementing both Thumbs Up

agree

I agree, possibly even better if you edit out 1cm on the left margin, to completely remove the yellow number plate!? Thumbs Up

I assume you do have rubber mats inside?

Desktop wallpaper

Hi,

Do you allow me to put the photo as my desktop wallpaper? Smile
I must confess that I already did put it Embarassed , and if you do allow, is it possible to send me this pic in higher resolution?

Thanks a lot!

Gorjan

Fantastic picture, great colours!!

Have you used exposure bracketing to create a HDR photograph? If not it makes the result even more remarkable! Bow down

Well thank you all for such positive comments!

The image is composed of about 4/5 same pictures at different exposures on a tripod (bracketed yes). So the first was to ensure the sky was not over exposed, then increased the exposure by a couple of stops each time until I am exposing for the shadows correctly also. As you know in such light (brightish sky and darker foreground) it's nigh impossible to get this exposure range (dynamic range) in one shot.

This was virtually the first image resulting from some trial software called Photomatix... www.hdrsoft.com there is a free trial there, but it stamps logos across your images (I was just able to clone mine out!!)

If anyone wants full sized pic's let me know via email and I can return it for you that way.

I have a couple more like this that I shall work on soon and post up if worthy of showing.

Huh! Sad

And I thought you had just hopped out of the car, grabbing the camera phone and popped a shot off

If you been tweaking it on the old computer photoshop....................

I wish!

Screen saver use is fine (I'm flattered!)

Yes I have rubber mats (Goretex shoes helped too!)

I have a slightly different version here soon...maybe too much now and should have left it, but a frame and title look smart, a little cropping too as suggested.

To me its better with the number plate on, it give it a bit of reality showing the freelander as a road car too. Sadly though it would never get into a fl2 brochure as they only seem to put HSE pics for publicity.

That HDR tool is the bizz!

Not taking anything away from the photographer of course. Thumbs Up

I have used AEB for ages and always had to pick the best compromise image from the 3 shots. No longer!!

Definately leave the plate in... '57 GS TD4 in Stornoway. Privacy, Leather, Tred Cills. From ebay etc.. 18" 12 spoke HSE alloys, rear spoiler, clear side repeaters with clear leds, led interior light to replace bulbs, sports exhaust trim, TomTom 720.

Ooops, sorry if I let the cat out of the bag nick, sorry. Embarassed Embarassed

It is a fantastic image though and worthy of any brochure/pro effort.

I want to get into this type of photography cause as you've shown the effects are stunning, all I need to get is a DSLR and a decent lense or 2.

What kit are you using if you don't mind me asking?
