Fort Wiliam visit

Spending a week on the banks of Loch Leven, first week in April.
Will have Mrs Taz and little Taz in tow, (9 yr old daughter)
Looking for recommended things to do places to go, have been many times climbing but that is out of the question with the family.
Are placed like Applecross worth the journey, if the weather is good, I like my photography, Bethany is into wildlife, would love to spot an Eagle?
Any advice or tips most welcome Thumbs Up

TIA. Paul

Loch leven, why do they have two Laughing
I am near Ballachulish, 15 miles from Fort William.
Golden Eagles ideally she would like to see.
If we get a clear day, may go up to Applecross, but as you say, mostly in mist, it would be a waste of time.

Yeah, Dunroof's up not far from us, by Struy, Scardroy Swansea and Sheidaig. Not the kind of streets you want to walk around after dark though; unless you're into drugs and tooled-up. Otherwise the wildlife is great.

Dunroof
We three were out yesterday walking in a forest nearby and I wished for once that we'd had a camera with us and could take photographs of the quality of the Taztastic kind.

Seen for the very first time 15mtrs or so ahead resting on a large branch high up 20+mtrs a lynx in a tree. We have observed them on the ground but never before so high up in a tree. Never thought they were such good climbers. And it didn't take off - just stayed and stared at us. Grand.

Went across to mull a few years back, compulsory "Balamory" visit with 4 year old Laughing

This was taken last year over Loch Leven, only there one day, long story. Weather not looking as good in April but one can hope.
It would have been good apart from the horrible jetty cutting it in half Rolling Eyes
