England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

Before I had the freelander, I had a Focus 2.0 ltr TDI which was a joy to drive and just as quick as the Audi 1.9 TDI Sport it replaced, the finish wasn't as good as the Audi but drivability was.

We have been running just 1 car the FL2 for a few years but due to a change of circumstances and for financial reasons we have replaced it with 2 Fords, a Fiesta Zetec for SHMBO and a 2011 Focus Zetec for me, it is the 1.6 petrol and I agree with The Doctor does feel a little underpowered compared with the diesel's I am used to driving, but it is no slouch, its very comfortable and quiet, and in the week I have had it its averaged 45.3 mpg which is not bad for a petrol, Its a bit basic compared to the FL2 no parking sensors sunroof or Satnav and the back windows wind up, The radio/telephone setup is superior to my FL2, the seats are very comfortable and supportive and untill I fit a tow bar the bike fits in the boot with the seats down, I like the shape its very simllar to the Fiesta but a bit bigger, Do I miss the FL 2 (yes) Do I regret selling and buying Ford (No) One of the diesels or the bigger bhp petrols may be better if you want to do some lively driving but I am at the stage in life where things are slowing down so it suits me fine.

The salesman was telling me about the new turbo charged 1.0 Ltr petrol that they are going to put in the Focus 55+ mpg he claimed and plenty of power Shocked What if there were no hypothetical situations?

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

we have a Fiesta 1.6TDCi and it pulls like a train for a 1.6. It also averages 63mpg since adding 2t on every fill.
Reliability & economy & £30 road tax adds to a great package, but the dealers have been great, with really good service and advice.
We complained about the tyre noise and they recommended we changed to Hanooks, they even beat a local tyre company on price & the tyres are soooooooo much quieter and lasting a lot longer than the Conti's fitted at the factory.
Great little car. Thumbs Up
