Got to hand it to the Kia's though, if Land Rover gave a 7 year warranty they would be bankrupt in a very short time!! |

Perhaps Kia have the same reliability issues just sell fewer so don't have as much to spend on warranty claims

To be honest, it may not cost Land Rover a huge amount more to give the longer warranty, when you read the posts on here, most work has been carried out in the first 3 years.

Land Rover warranty is better than Kia in first three years, being unlimited mileage as opposed to Kia, with a 100k limit, after 3 years LR will provide extended warranty at a cost, Kia will extend warranty BUT only up to the 100k ceiling provided it has not been exceeded in the first 3 years.

The Mod is looking to change his Freely before long and is contemplating the Kia Sportage and is just testing the water to see how loudly members of the forum will if he takes the plunge |

It's also to do with the recent TV advert for the Kia - which refers to the opening thread statements!
