Bluetoth security code

Just been filling in the small card with Locking wheeel nut code and Bluetooth code.

Is the Bluetooth code the 4 digit number that the car display asked me to put in my phone for pairing? I can't remember the code? does anyone know how to retrieve it again? Very Happy

During pairing a number came up but it was not 2121, the number started with a 5 ? Is the 2121 the landrover default as our Works Disco's use 2121. Have I changed it by mistake whilst pairing?

Not an answer but I paired my first phone with 2121 last year, but last week I paired my new smartphone and the Freelander told me to input 6354 into the phone and it paired OK Confused
Beforehand I read the bluetooth pairing on the LR site and it told me to use 2121 when told but as said the LR system gave me a different number Exclamation

So yes, it seems that 2121 is not always used.

EDIT: I paired this smartphone twice due to messing it up in the settings and the LR system gave me a different number the second time. I would guess it is for bluetooth security but 2121 is a default that will always work.

Perhaps 2121 is used when you use the phone to scan and it finds 'LandRover', but when you scan via the LandRover looking for a phone your phone has a different code. Exclamation

The device that do the search for other BT devices is generating the code.
In the LR2's case the head unit searches for nearby phones so it's its job to generate the pairing code.
So don't worry about remembering and noting down codes. They will be always shown in the head unit display.
