United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Cruise Control

Set CC at 70-ish mph doing nicely. Braked for slow traffic - CC turns off. Dropped gear to 5th and on clearing traffic, reinstated CC (forgetting I was in fifth) and then changed to 6th. Engine certainly knows how to scream!! It actually then turns CC off when higher gear has actually been engaged. My FL1 was auto and, of course, you can be doing 5 mph and re-engage CC and works great - ah well.
Perhaps this should have been in the 'things you don't know about...thread?

I beleive the CC is disengaged as soon as you press the clutch or brake pedal.

I have done the same, gone and changed gear whilst using CC and the revs do Pop up a little until it realizes the CC should be off.

Also watch for the speed increase when you re engage the CC as pressing the bottom button(from memory i think its this button) takes you to the previous set speed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
