That's OK, I'm connected to Thirlmere, gazzillions of gallons of water, the South are planning to pump water round the country.
Unless you plan pumping some of the wealth up here we stand united

I need to flush the filters twice a week othe summer, daft thing is it will go down the drain, I can't be seen watering the waste water on to the garden with a hose that would then contravene the hosepipe ban Confused

One of my neighbours has a converted pool, now a pond, he is 6 ft higher than me and the pond leaks.
The grass is beautiful where the leak runs across the lawn Laughing

I read an article yesterday, they advise washing cars with "grey" water, can imagine Toeknee driving round with the car smelling of "comfort spring bouquet"

At the end of the day it is all pathetic really, we in Lancashire have a gravity fed water system from Thirlmere in Cumbria to Manchester, it takes 36 hours for the water to flow from one end to the other. It was built and works for the local population, what happens in south (SE), they build more houses, for more people with little regard for how they will be, fed, watered, educated, policed etc and then wonder why Rolling Eyes Anyway rant over.

The plan here is to have a new railway coming through this area from Lodon to Birmingham at a cost of £33 billion, so this will cost a lot more in the long run, all this to travel from London to Birmingham twenty five minutes quicker that the train does it at the moment, is it for Londoners to get to Birmingham for water Question
Wouldn't the money be better spent on pipeline Question
Whilst we have these restrictions on water, Thames Water will still not be wanting any less cash for the shareholders.

Unless he pipes it up to the other house waste water system and then it won't be smelling of "comfort spring bouquet" Rolling with laughter

some people call manchester dirty drug problem city Sad but on the cb net work is called rainy city at times like this with hosepipe bans coming in the south east its a good place to live Wink ,may be we should sell the south some of out crystal clear water and in doing so reduce our water rate bills i am sure that if it was the other way round the south would sell it us Rolling with laughter

on a serious note i do sympathise with you over the last few decades lots of new houses and factories have been built but with no significant up date of the services by the water companies esp no new resavoirs have a look at greased lighting showroom shine it states you can wax your vehicle without washing it. rainy-city

I got some and have used it quite a lot Thumbs Up

Does what it says on the tin - but as many have pointed out it is really a detailing spray

So give the car a good wash and wax before the hose pipe ban starts - then just a bucket rinse and detail polish Very Happy 2002 Honda VFR800

Are there any regulations against washing your car by a river?

. . . or where the water will go once it has been peed (and worse) in. Back into the river so it can be pumped out further downstream and fed into someone else's reservoir.

In the days of the unified network they called "British Rail" there was a twice weekly tanker train running to London from Inverness, where the reservoir system for supplying water to the Caledonian Railway steam locomotives was still fully working. This was to wash the commuter trains in London - cheap if you own the water, the tankers, and the track. So if they do build a high speed line to Birmingham from London (to replace the Grand Central line that was closed in the 1960s) putting a big water pipe under it could be a good idea. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

If they start the railway line today it won't have a train running on it before 2026, as for putting the pipe below it, that will need to be deep, 17 miles of the track through the Chilterns will be tunnels.
