Wales 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Baltic Blue
Advice please - on first service...

I took delivery of my FL2 (SD4) last year - March 26th 2011 - and so coming up to the 12 months 'anniversary' in a week or two. I've done 11,000 miles.

My query is - I expected to see an alert on the dash display advising me of an imminent service, with daily countdown etc but so far, nothing...

Should I have seen an alert? Should I book it in anyway, given it's 12 months since I got the car?

Advise plse!

Thanks! ...

dont wait for the alert get it done b4 12 mths is up its part of the warranty stipulation think its 15,00miles or 12mths wich ever is the sooner, you should be looking at £240 to £299 ish for 1st service but shop arround dealers and play one off to the other to get a good price Thumbs Up ps mention that the service reminder has not activated as well rainy-city

You should also have had a countdown warning in the mileage display screen on start up, counting down the days from 29 iirc, when you go past that it wil display -1 -2 etc

My 2011 FL2 did not have the countdown to the service but it did have the Oil Warning alert - I shopped around for the price of the first service and rang all 4 LR dealers within 35 miles of Cambridge - the price varied from £410 to £335 and when it was carried out I was actually charged £327 (that was Marshalls in Peterborough)
I did query why I had not seen the countdown but nobody seemed to know why.
