Weather behaviour is definetly changing. How are snowfalls in the extreme North (Viking and Bjartin)? Last snowfall in western Alps two weeks ago. |

At this type of snowfall temps are ususally between -1 and -3 celcius. After the snowfall and for a duration of 2 days temps drop to -5 -7 at night! |

There is no snow in coastal southern Norway at the moment and it has been very mild temperatures for a while now. In the mountains of southern Norway it is another story however as we had to remove 1.5 meters of snow from our mountain cabin roof the other week. In other words - it is a fairly normal winter in the mountains but very abnormal winter in the lowlands.

We have had a pretty normal winter. Temperature dropping to minus 40 c and wind chills hitting minus 52 c for a couple of days. Good thing is when it snows we do not worry to much about it melting and forming ice until spring. |
