I have done 18.219 km in 2007 (from june).
0,81 litre/10km = 12,34 km/litre on annual calculation.
My best ecological drive was 0,64 litre/10km.
No problems at all with my Td4 HSE.

11,000 miles since October 2007, 600 today. No problems apart from the bluetooth phone kit. Thinking of fitting nokia kit instead. MPG not great at about 30 on average, not as good as my XC90 but much better to drive. Would have needed a new set of tyres by now on the XC90 as well and FL2 tyres still look like new.

Overall delighted with the car

I'm down to about 4mm of tread on the fronts and 5mm on the rears which I don't think is bad after 23000 mile with 6000 towing

Just cover 15K miles since March 2007.
No real issues, just loose anti-roll bar and a noisey passenger door folding mirror.

i am happy!

oh, yes and on average a good 35 MPG.

FL2 TD4 SE in Izmir Blue

My LR2 will be "celebrating" its first birthday next week and currently has 40k (kms) on the clock,,,lot of driving with my job.......

Did 8100 trouble free miles in my TD4 XS manual and 300 miles in a new SE auto that is fantastic.Averaged 37 mpg in the manual.Hope my second TD4 is as reliable as the first!

Just clocked up 22000 in 11 months.
No problems really apart from the leaky sunroof.
Getting around 470 to a tank of diesel.

19,000 miles from June 07. No problems until today when car won't start. Landrover assist attended within 20 muins and said battery was flat but don't know why! Please let the car start!!!!!

Over 11k miles now since June...an absolute delight.
Am convinced that towing (unmentionables to some of us) has bedded in the piston rings a lot faster than without. For an auto, you'd expect to use c-shift (in this car) to drop down a gear, but most of the time that's not necessary now, unless I'm in the Peak district, with the unmentionable.
Still not happy with fuel consumption, but I can live with it...too much fun to be had.
I do wish that LR had given some more thought to tyres. GoodYear were fitted to my FL1, and were crap. Same on this one. As soon as I changed to Michelin on the FL1, it was almost like driving another car.

For an instant and sustained increase in fuel economy simple reverse up to a cliff, unhitch the wobbly trailer, watch said wobble box fall to its destruction then drive away. (leaving the mother in law in the trailer is at your discretion but will also add to the economy)

It might be the reason for your flat battery.

Had you too, left the vehicle un-alarmed for some while?

Interesting reading about the flat battery. Last night I let my husband touch my precious LR and unlock it to get something out of it and then lock it again.....I don't know if the alarm was set or not. Car seems fine now it's been jump started. I've taken it for a run to charge the battery up so will see how it is tomorrow. Thanks for the advice  Please let the car start!!!!!

I'm a little unsure about this locking/alarm thing 'one press locks, two presses alarms'. why not alarm on first press? Is it so you can nip into a shop and lock your wife,kids or dog in the fl2 without returning from the shop and finding your passengers sat in a flashing hooting car? (Mrs George hates that!)

I would prefer one click locks and alarms, second click deactivates the alarm leaving doors locked, As I'm not sure we will always remember to set the alarm each time. Mrs George may not agree but I would prefer an alarmed car to an angry wife once or twice a year! (or would I? )

So if I,m locking the house at night and I want to check the car is locked by pressing the fob button and watching for orange flashes in the garage window, How will I know whether the alarm is on or not?
