Door Latch Replacement

Hi,

How do you replace the front passanger door latch? I have removed the door card but I can't see how to remove the door latch.

If you mean the outer locking mechanism, you have to take the cover off the outer door lock using your key (that bit is in the manual) then you remove a small grommet from the door side and a Torx screw unscrews the lock itself. Have a look in my gallery for 'changing the door handles' i'm sure that will be clearer.

Hi mcphersonstrut,

It is the latch mechanism which locks the door to the body. It is inside the door but I can't get access to it. I think you have to remove the window mechanism.

Yes you wil need to remove the Window Motor and Mechanism.
