My 07MY went in for service and MOT at dealers last week. They investigated the droning sound coming from the rear and have established the diff bearings are knackered. The repair for this is estimated at 486 quid. On the basis, I do not not consider this to be fair wear and tear at less than 50k miles, I contacted LR customer relations and they have agreed to pay 33% of the cost.

I've tried not to get paranoid about noises as my FL2 is fine at the moment, blissfully driving with my MP3 on loud. Now I find myself turning it down occasionaly for a quick listen of noises. Must be a form of OCD! I must visit my doctor. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

Come with me to my OCD therapy classes, we all drive Freelanders and think 'KIA' has planted subversives in LandRover forums to send us doo-lally. |
