If you press and hold both the door lock and unlock buttons for a few second, it opens the boot

If you press the start button and hold for a few seconds (without pressing the clutch down) just the ignition comes on so you can listen to the radio without the engine running. |

How much power do you think you need to travel at 33 mph? ![]() |

Living dangerously there Npinks! I've found the useful "range" function is not 100% accurate, so running it down to zero was risk indeed! |

snairdia , my radio works without any key or ignition on , just press the on/off button .maybe this is only on the premium radio. |

Have you reset the trip computer in all your 8000 miles? As I understand it the longer the 'trip' the less sensitive it becomes to local variations in fuel consumption, and you are given the long-term average fuel consumption (simple maths). Incidentally, the trip readout only appears to go up to 999.9, although the calculations are done on the actual distance from the last reset. |

How does the mpg computer work? Does it simply take a residual fuel reading on reset and subsequently take further residual fuel readings and compare with mileage? |

As far as I know the mpg computer counts the actions of the injector pump and as it knows how much fuel per action it can calculate mpg. There is more to this than meets the eye due to injector leak off etc but it works this way rather than using a flow meter or gauging the tank |

Mine is the same and I have the bog standard radio. It does switch itself off after 15 or 20 mins or so but another press of the radio knob brings it back on. |

Pepper Pot Thanks for that but seeing my only vehicle malaises are annoying ie non start and trip reset it is not the natural flattening of the average plot though it certainly seems like it, maybe the trip reset only zeroes the read out.

Whenever I reset mine the mpg initially fluctuates significantly, then gradually settles down as the averaging smooths out the variations, so it's not just the read out |
