I have used Mintex discs which have proved to be of decent quality....and about half the price of LR discs! John

I changed my rear pads, discs and pads about a year ago - used BritPart bought from a 4x4 shop seller on e$ay.

Haven't checked wear levels but haven't had any issues. 2002 Honda VFR800

I did mine and put britpart vented ones on, mainly cos they look better than standard discs!

i understood, that you cannot use all pads on drilled discs - it depends on the material they are made of...

Job done

New disks and pads all round Very Happy

Supplied by Paddocks but Britpart disks and Mintex pads, front pad kit included new slider bolts = £154

No major issues except the front caliper mount bolts were 18mm hex. Lots of 17mm and 19mm spanners and sockets in my tool kit. Only 1 18mm socket and that took some finding. Prog rock is cool! Smile

i always look at this simple answer fit genuine parts for brakes you then know that they have been put through stringent QA checks and will exceed your vehicle requirements in an emergency Thumbs Up rainy-city

On my old Disco 2 I thought I would fit EBC drilled/slotted discs and pads, I didn't think they lasted very long and when I changed them I found that some bits of the pads had cracked and fallen off, so they weren't working to full spec by the end.
I fitted MINTEX pads and discs and they seems to work fine and a very good price too.
When I need to change mine I'll be going the Mintex way Whistle
