I was filling up with fuel the other day , and the bloke next to me was filling his Subaru or should I say he was filling the floor, his tank had a hole of some sort and his expensive fuel was flooding out from under his car.

Reminds me of a time about 10 years ago, my father had just collected a new Merc from the garage where he worked, went to Morrisons in Blackburn which has an underground section of car park, after shopping he returned, or tried to return, to his car, to find the Fire Brigade with breathing apparatus placing an emergency bund around the car.

We had an incident in my neck of the woods where a domestic heating oil tanker was followed by some scallies who emptied the full tanks at remote unoccupied houses. Owners returned to find they had less heating oil than before the delivery! - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

One problem with the ground clearance on a Freelander 2 is the access to the catalytic converter. These are being stolen quite a bit around my area due to the price of the metals inside of the cat. They simply come along with a pipecutter and just cut the cat out.

Just means when you get back to your car in the car park the engine will be on the road but the 'cat' is gone. Suppose with the advent of mobile services - who would suspect a chap in a day-glow jacket working on a car in the car park???? Heard an interesting story the otehr day about a University which had just had it's science labs refitted with brand new equipment - next day a troupe of workmen (in day-glow jackets) arrived and removed it all - never to be seen again. I believe someone quite senior in the uni also signed for the removal 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

Hopefully your right Taztastic, knowing my luck they just pinch something else. Simont is right though, a Hi-viz jacket makes all the differance.

For the network rail stuff is be surprised if they offloaded it easily without smelting it themselves or somewhere as as only a few places take it and they don't give cash, the pay straight into the nr recycling type account iirc! FL2 work pilot! |
