2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey

I've been quoted £400 at Hunters LR Bristol and £355 Stratstone Newport. These seems very high. Anywhere better near where I am?

Yeovil Land Rover quoted £280 for my first Annual Service all inclusive of materials, a FL 2 HSE Auto courtesy car and VAT. The actual cost was £276.48.

Mine's going in for its first service next week. Been quoted £375 by Shukers Ludlow. That includes a courtesy car, but i don't know if that has bumped the price up. Never thought to ask. Embarassed

I would expect it to be free too. I'll feed back after the event.

First service was £311 in East Kent.

Guys make sure you haggle with your service dealer, Stratstone Durham quoted me £355 for first service. But after a bit on the phone and internet searching, I got Stratstone Newcastle down to £228 plus they will pick up my car and return it (I hope) GS TD4 Stornoway Grey

Well I've just picked mine up from Shukers Ludlow and the final bill was £316. Better than the £375 quote by some margin.

Just for reference, the breakdown is as follows (ex VAT):
Labour £176
Pollen Filter £12
Oil Filter £7
Engine Flush £10
Rail Cleaner £10
Screen Wash £3
Oil £47
Environmental Prorection Charge!!?? £4

Apparently they have also fitted a modified (larger) breather on the rear diff because "the original ones had a tendency to seep oil". Not that I had noticed any problem with my original one, but that's what I was told.

I might just give the team valley mob my business anyway, depends where I'm working when I need it serviced.

npinks, is this Armstrong Massey in York?
Ours came from there and I was quite pleased with the RR vogue loaner (no charge) when they switched off the traction warning messages last week, so I'm inclined to use them out of loyalty rather than treck into Leeds and use Guy Salmon. Aside from their good service, which I've already experience, it sounds like they're very reasonably priced too.
I also like fact that they're a small local firm rather than being part of a big chain. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good!

It is Armstrong Massey where i bought my FL2 from, I have had it back for various things and each time the courtasy car was free and i sign for their insurance too.

Normally you will get a FL2 S, but they have Disco3 RRS and the lovely FFRR Vogue which i have had too. Though they also have a FL1 and a Defender which I have had too when they have had to keep the car overnight for parts.

I mainly deal with Colin in Service, but everybody gives 100% help.

I went to Guy Salmon, when i was looking at my previous car, (prior to the FL2) and i wanted a near new FL1 HSE, left them to find one and got a phone call say they had, went down and he showed me a FL1 Zimbabwe or something. Which clearly is not a HSE.

Freelander 2 TD4 1st Annual service

Morrisons Land Rover of Whins of Milton, Central Scotland quoted £292 for my first Annual Service all inclusive of vat and materials.
I had phoned around and found this was the best price although they are charging £17.00 + vat for a courtesy car which declined I was also told that the service takes 3 Hrs. They said that they could drop me of in Stirling and pick me up when the service is finished.

Sounds a good deal to me.
