When you store a location in the HSE Sat Nav you have the option to enter a telephone number. Has anyone discovered a practical use for this? On the after-market Kenwood/Garmin in my old Disco 3 you could dial directly from it.

you can dial from it as far as i know by pressing the green telephone next to it

i know you can if you POI look up a LR dealer

Thanks for that reply. I went out to check this and the only time I can get the green telephone icon to appear is when you select the stored location as a waypoint/destination and then press the 'info' button at the top. It's a bit of a roundabout way of doing it.

Anyone know of any other way of using this function?

I think it's one of those things that there for when your programming the route or searching for POI's

To ring to say you are on the way, or to see if they have anyone to fix your LR if you've searched for a garage POI

Personally I've never used them

Phone number will come in useful when you need to call thm for directions after satnav has got you lost.
