I finally got my Drive+Play installed. I now have 2,300 albums at my fingertips to amuse myself with during my 3 hour drive from home to Aberdeen and back every week. And it only cost me £20 off eBay. But it did take me the best part of a day to figure out how to install it.

Looks great and a bargain! How does it integrate? Piggy back into the FM antenna? |

I've connected it to the aux in line. After I saw this : http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic11092.html I bought a spare aux input socket for £4.18 from a Ford dealer. I disconnected the wiring from the existing connector at the rear of the centre console and attached the connector to the new socket hidden inside the console. I fed a stereo cable with a 35mm stereo jack on each end from the Harman Kardon control unit (hidden in a convenient space immediately under the radio and behind the heater / AC controls). It was fairly easy to access the loom by removing the coin tray and rear panel from the centre console. I then removed the gear knob and gaiter so I could hook the cable with a bit of coat hanger wire. So no need to remove the centre console itself. Removing the front fascia and radio is quite easy once you get the hang of it - mine has been off several times already to fit the Drive+Play and also a Garmin sat nav. Sound quality is really excellent - once I had tracked down some interference caused by the stereo plug not being fully inserted into the aux in socket.
