Farewell ...

Sad farewell all, my lovely Bali blue TD4,e 2010 reg HSE was sold yesterday. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad A few bits & bobs will turn up for sale over the next few days, tyres first!

This will probably be the most delightful car I'll ever drive, but the boot was just too small for family needs including 2 grandchildren in car seats & all their clobber & their mother, our daughter ... so gone back to a nice but boring Passat estate. & I never thought I'd miss all those "extras" like the rear view mirrors, great reversing lights etc., etc. & most of all, the wonderful ride.

Oh, yes, ... has to be said ... this is a great forum ... over the last so many years I've belonged to many & you lot are outstanding!

Cheers

Australia 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Well with two kids under 3 and all they come with I can understand your reasoning...

However I wouldn't part with mine. I bought a roof rack instead. Not for the kids though Laughing

Good luck with your new Vagon.

Mike sorry you had to sell, I've had a Passat and very nice it was too but love the Freelander much more.
Hope you come back to the fold in due course. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

I sold mine for a Brand new Ford Focus and for the same reasons.

Interesting; I've found exactly the opposite...

I had Volvo V70 estates for the around 7 or 8 years before the Freelander arrived and I keep finding that I can get much more in the Freelander than I ever used to in the Volvo!

The low roof, small tailgate and the curvy sides of estates cars used to cause problems which simply aren't there now AND it's easier to park because it's so much shorter.

However, good luck with the VW, I hope it works out well for you.
