the little pimply shelf-thing

Does anybody have a use for the 'little pimply shelf-thing' that sits on the dash, below the cubby hole / SatNav location & above the in-car stereo, hazards button, lock & unlock buttons...? To me, it doesn't seem to have a useful purpose... coins are visible, they don't stay on safely, the space it provides is VV limited... Have I missed some key aspect of me luvly freelander? Laughing

I have to agree - whatever you put in there (coins, pens, etc) just ends up on the floor eventually. Strange that LR can 'design in' something completely useless Rolling Eyes Cheers,

Never use it but it hides away 2 screws for the dash.

Anyway, I'm after a new one. Does anyone know what it's really called/or have a part number?

Asking LR for a "'little pimply shelf-thing" may not work!! Laughing
