Sat Nav Reboots on cold start

My LR2 HSE Sat Nav/Cd/Radio/phone system sometimes suffers system rebooting on cold start days...anybody else seen this ?

Symptoms are the screen reboots several times then settles down but it renders the unit unuseable during the rebooting period.

Seems to only happen in Winter.

The battery capacity is reduced during very cold weather and combined with trying to start the engine may be restricting voltage to the satnav system causing it to reset its self

I had thought that but the reboots can happen after starting when driving at good revs in the first 15 minutes of the drive.

Mine does it as well, but will keep trying to reboot for hours sometimes. You can't eject the Nav CD and the radio and parking sensors won't work. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black

Have you checked the power connections to the back of the dvd drive? sounds like theres a loose connection somewhere. Is the dvd door in the locked position?

UPDATE:

The rebooting got very bad! It then stopped re-booting but the Bluetooth menu then disappeared. Sat Nav / CD all still fine.

So, took it to my local Land Rover dealer who performed a [sic] "Software Re-Sync" and charged me £102 for that hours work.....which interestingly they say was not covered under my Land Rover Approved Warranty ....as they say it's an "adjustment"...how you can "adjust" integrated circuit hard programmed code is beyond me as an IT person!

Anyway, got home and then thought I would pair my phone ( not wanting to do that whilst driving )....and the Bluetooth menu is still missing!!!.....£102 for a reboot and no fix....have contacted them to respond!

Fixed finally.

Two trips to land rover dealer, £102 and usual non warranty coverage....they finally restored the Bluetooth pairing.

Addendum. : I now have the land Rover "Select" Extended warranty ( kicks in after "Approved" warranty ) and yet again a basic fault is not covered. See : http://www.freel2.com/forum/post212414.html#212414

Sorry for coming back to this thread years later but I am having the same problem. Did you ever get yours resolved? Annoyingly it's an intermittent but every week or so the sat nav keeps rebooting every 5 seconds. Sometimes it stops after driving for about 5 mins and at other times it lasts for over an hour - that is more than annoying on a long drive! As my parking sensors aren't working either, just flashing the requisite 6 times before turning off, I was wondering if the two might be related?

Could be DAB module problems

TBH I was having real trouble with DAB just before it started. Put it down to driving through a particularly bad rural area but haven't had this problem before with the radio.
Battery could also be the original - might this not be holding too well? The engine was warm when this happened last time after driving for two hours.
