thanks...

Thanks for all your suggestions regarding the noise. I'm particularly grateful to Tigger for his excellent suggestion. In fact, following that profound insight into 'noise diagnostics' I am happy to report the following significant findings:
1. It is not food-related
2. It initially appeared to be a random event, but it transpires that there IS a pattern.
3. It is beyond the hearing of most mammals
4. It is only audible south of watford, or west of shrewsbury
5. It's disappeared

Thanks again. If anyone does hear it beyond the scope of the above indicators, feel free to tell us all. We can all benefit from shared wisdom. It might save someone's life, you never know.

Next! ...

Does that mean you can only have one if you're a footballer then? Drug dealers and chicken farmers will be very disappointed...

According to a website called SQPN, St Brigid is the patron saint of:

chicken farmers AND.... fugitives!

Regarding footballers: football; football players

" I have no documentation of any saint or beati who has been "assigned" to this topic, or around whom a popular devotion has developed".

Perhaps we can lobby for Brigid to take up the cause of footballers, then it's a logical leap to...

St Brigid, Patron Saint of RRS drivers !! ...

I didnt hear any strange noises last night, Mrs G called me from the RRS and there is no background noise what so ever ,A rare perfect bluetooth/noise cancellation set up Thumbs Up

It honestly sounded just as good as a normal phone conversation , for a while I didnt believe she was driving (on A1 at 70mph +/- a margin Whistle) At work
At home
