Pride in your cars

One thing I have noticed in the short amount time that I have been a member of this site is the amount of pride some of you take in your cars

From concerns of the rear boot door wiring loom rubbing against the bodywork to streaky windows etc.....

I have never been bothered by things like this and although i have had some nice cars i have never been bothered by car park dings and cleaning my cars

BUT...........

since having my freelander 2 for 2 weeks i have washed it !! previously I would let the rain do the washing!!

and the other day I parked the car further away from a shop entrance than I needed too! when my wife questioned this I replied "I have read that these are prone to car park dings so thought I would park out the way"!!!! she thought i was joking!!! and nearly fainted Laughing

I only clean mine if I'm going somewhere important and park as far away from anyone else as possible, what does that make me, a slovenly whimp?. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

English by birth..... Yorkshire by the grace of God.

My paintwork is in pretty poor condition due to it having been parked at a cement works by the previous owner, so it is genuinely hard to tell what colour the car is, it is almost a dark blue/dark grey but should infact be a black, I had to "T" cut a small section to see the true colour

What price do you think a valet would cost that included the interior as the seats are filthy and "T" cutting the whole car???? its not an area I have any knowledge!! Black FL2

No Speedway.....just still sensible Laughing

Warriorbez, first you need two buckets, a sponge made from the fluff off a lambs nutsack, biodegradable snow foam ( and lots of bleach as the drive will turn green Rolling Eyes ) a pressure washer ( with a metal pump, plastic ones are laughed at) microfibre drying cloths (colour coded and one for each panel) and a spare 35 hours one Saturday afternoon! That's before you start with the pre wax cleaner, polish, sealer, sealer shine.
Then when you have finished the wheel arches, you can start on the main body of he car.

Pinkies website is ok but www.toeknee.co.uk is better Rolling with laughter

Just enjoy Thumbs Up

Nice knowing you Laughing

I would look up a detailer on the above link in your area and get advice on what he could do to sort the paint, I know a few companies with good reputation, go on recommendation though as there is cheaper companies that have done more harm than good Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
