France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

Been with Frizzells (now LV) for about 40 years and my premium was £160 fully comp, self and wife, guaranteed no claims and voluntary work covered. I didn't think this was bad.

It seems the norm nowadays that insurers give you a low quote to suck you in and then hike it up on renewal in the hope that you can't be ars*d to change. I must say that LV have not done this to me. John

NFU . they have real people answering the phone. actually sat in a regional office nor far from you if you want to go meet them.
they give 2 years GAP insurance on your car for free

And best of all If you have a claim they actually pay out

but even NFU has lost its friendly manner a little , If you do claim now its done through central claims hotline not through the local office. Although you can still phone the regional office for a little advice on how to 'word' your claim for best results

NFU are the best insurers we have ever dealt with, they pay up and do not try to rob you. However after our last claim for a stolen defender, even with fully protected no claims our premium has doubled to £800 !, but it would be false economy to change. We have our contents insurance with them and will be moving the building policy as well, as CG says real people you can deal with. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Sweden

Well guys, here in Sweden, a Stockholm insurance costs me about 1400 - 2500 € per year... then again I don't need to contact them to check whether it's still valid for winter tyres... It's never too late to learn something new...

Aviva best for me again - second year now.

I have been with LV for the past 3 years, they were half the price of everyone else when I joined them, it has gone up by about £50 each year, mines about £680 now though!! I have included work use (not just going to and from work) which I am guessing bumps it up but essential when I am visiting sites three or four times a week.

Renewal is June and I will shop around but no doubt I will be sticking with LV as no-one has beaten them at previous renewals.

RE: NFU, policies a bit more expensive so have not used them personally.
From motor trade experience dealing with repairs for customers the claim process was second to none, local office approved estimate almost immediately and if large claim assessor was with you quickly and addressed any ongoing problems. The very opposite from some of the large well known ones. The worst when I was still working was the then Norwich Union. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
