I liked them on my FL1 but somehow they don't look right on the 2.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Having driven for some 48 years, and not counting 3 accidents that incurred other body damage, I have only damaged a headlight once in all that time. (an indecisive pheasant Shocked) Accordingly, I do not see a business case for fitting them. They look ok, but not justified IMO. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

mine had the light guards (front + rear) already fitted.

Think they look ok.

Wouldn't have gone out and bought them to add if they weren't already on.

On your Guard you Lot - As I'm sure flack will be coming my way after this:

1: I would not fit them (particularly the fronts') as they detract from the overall good looking FL2 body lines particularly if it has the MY2011> front bumper. Park the FL2 next to all its competitors and it really does win the beauty contest, more so if it has the rear spoiler fitted. Cool But,

2: If there were a genuine "protective" case for fitting them (5 day a week off-roader) then I'd fit them, plus sump and petrol tank guards. But proper off-roading, Australia, Africa, Isle of Dogs if you get my drift. Not the field crossing green/brown dirt track meandering of the Cotswold Cutetees on here. Razz

3: Now we did have a protective case for fitting the rear light guards. Our daughter (8yrs) presently skis on 1mtr length skis. They cannot fit securely on the roof ski rack due to their short length and her parents much longer skis. Happily they do fit snugly across the width of the loadspace area. But, last winter she nearly poked a huge hole in one of the rear light clusters trying to remove them. Alarm bells rang, and so for this season's skiing rear light guards were fitted. Bless her. Thumbs Up

4: So whatever you decide to do - fit or not fit - front and/or rear guards - it's your FL2 and your money. So what's next in the Miss World contest - are yes - to fit or not fit - mud flaps Rolling Eyes
