I got out to check it obviously not knowing exactly what he did but him and his older wife just pottered on and said nothing. Now admittedly my fl is not its cleanest at the moment but it's no excuse. Unfortunately it does mean I've not been able to check it properly yet. Fingers crossed it didn't crease it. Sorry to be ageist - no offence is meant but he was cracking on 99 and probably shouldn't be driving. Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

Happened to me again today at Hunters Derby, I left 2 spaces each side when I got back a women had parked right next to me with doors open to within a couple of inches of me, had to wait till she was done before I could back out, 1 way system in parking area. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

I was at Sainsburys the weekend and I always look for at least a double parking space as admitably the FL2 is wide and takes up a good chuck of the width of a bay. I found a perfect spot with a spare bay next to the left which had a trolley bay next to it with metal handrails. I purposely parked my FL2 on the line sp that anyone with half a brain wouldnt even attempt parking in a bay that you could barely get a door open in. Low and behold I came back to my FL2 and a Vauxhall Zafira was in the bay, their drivers side less than a foot off mine and their passenger side about 2 inches off the handrails.

I spent five minutes checking my passenger side for scratches and dents and thankfully nothing, if I had found anything their poxy Vauxhall would have ended up with dents and a flat tyre. Twisted Evil

Well Guys,
I'm really glad its not just me. I must admit that when my FR2 was filthy a woman parken a nissan so close I couldnt get in the drivers side, but more to the point where her passenger had got out her coat had dragged down the side of my FR2 & had left micro scratches along the side ! it must of been a tight squeeze.

In my anger i swung my drivers door open just a tad to leave a little mark in her Nissan ! Very Happy forgot it was made of the thinnest metal going and it actually folded her door in with a crease from top to bottom Rolling with laughter
Did feel a little guilty but on the other hand I still have her marks on my back door so don't feel so bad.

Having read your posts there are some very ignorant people out there who just dont give a s Censored

Perhaps we should photo some prize examples ! Thumbs Up

What you did was present the Zafira driver with a challenge! Rolling Eyes At least with my other car, I can put the suspension up and it's got side steps, so it's more likely other drivers will damage their cars. That said, it doesn't stop they keying the side in temper. Oh, the joys of motoring.

This is the one reason I am considering fitting side bars - can you get tree sliders for the FL2? Very Happy John

perhaps razor wire fitted where the optional door mouldings go would solve the problem?
