Recommendations for 19" tyres

Hi guys
Having done 37,000 kms the shoulder on all 4 tyres is bald so will need to replace. Not particularly impressed with how the stock Continentals have lasted so was wondering what the group would recommend as replacement? I notice that Goodyear don't have anything in the 235/55R19 size.
We live in a hilly, twisty area so cornering performance and durability are important with good grip on damp roads. Vast majority of use is on-road.

Thanks!

ps yes, I've had the wheel alignment checked

Hi there. I have the 235x55 R19 Continentals on mine. At about 15,000km I had the service people put the rears on the front to extend the life as the rears looked new and fronts looked a little sorry for themselves.

I have had a good look at alternatives. Pirelli make one which has had bad reviews. The Scorpion range - but my father in law went through a set in record time on a Prado.

Bridgestone make two which will fit. I believe they are fitted to the Mazda CX7 or CX9 as standard?

The Dueler HP Sport is a good one, as is the D400. The D400 is more car oriented whereas the Dueler is for performance 4wds. ou can also get the Dueler in a run flat type but I've no experience with these.

There are also some cheaper brands which may have thet size but I wouldn't touch them.

Although I'm on 17" wheels I've found Michelin Latitude Tour HP to be very good, quiet on the highway and cope well in the bush. They are available in 235/55R19. Incidentally, I changed from the OE Wranglers.

For those keeping score, I ended up going with Goodyear Excellence tyres. Had a good autoreview comparative review, the price was reasonable (~$150 less per tyre than top-end numbers) and I saw a RRSport with them on in the car park Wink
