United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver
Aldi Angle Grinder

the gearbox on my trust 115mm Dewalt angle grinder was sounding a bit iffy last time out but 10 years of service and abuse fair enough. today I bought an 1150w 125mm unit from Aldi today £17.99 . it is variable speed ( so might be used with a wire cup brush or flap wheel me thinks ) and has a dead mans trigger, + a pair of spare motor brushes and a 3 year guarantee, Thumbs Up

i've bought a few decent bits of kit from Aldi for little money magnetic trays and pick up tools and even a retractable air line reel and air tool oiler that's bolted to the garage wall

only problem sometimes is beating the local Polish builders to the limited supplies ! 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

France 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Narvik Black

I have bought "quality" 115mm angle grinders in the past and found them not much better than the cheapo variety sold in Aldi etc. Now I just buy a cheapo and bin it when it dies. It's usually the gearbox that goes....I think they are made out of cheese!

The last Bosch one I had lasted about 5 minutes Sad John
