I suppose with you driving another Auto, you now know what is normal and what is not. So the hesitation was absent from the loan car |

No hesitation but it was also a SD4 which mine isn't

Not yet, cars back in for them to do the wiring checks etc on Monday for a couple of days |

Brought my FL2 SX in Oct 2011, similar problems. Been back twice, even worse now with lower o/s air temps, so back in next Thursday. When I phoned the service dept the guy said "this is normal, they all have that sort of character" My reply - the demonstrator didn't or I wouldn't have brought one ,etc, etc ![]() So watch this space ![]() |

Plenty on this forum about slippig clutch/DMF. It slips the most at peak torque, ie between 2000 and 2500 rpm and the revs rise 200/300rpm without any increase in road speed.. Got mine replaced under warranty, it's a known problem . Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

It depends.......if they are able to remove the broken stud without damaging the thread there is no problem. If not I guess they will have to drill it out which may ruin the thread (especially if in aluminium) in which case they will probably have to Helicoil it. Again, no problem as some will say that a Helicoil thread in aluminium is stronger than a plain thread. The only real issue is if they screw the job up and increase the hole size beyond the right size Helicoil which may mean you wind up with a bastard size bolt in it. worth asking about how it was fix then and having them show me the offending bolt, if i have some huge bolt instead of the standard then, it will show it went tits up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Nick, standard sized bolt is 8mm, as said a Helicoil is just as good but with any luck 'stud extractors' will get the old out without damage. |
