I have just looked at my MOT smoke test pass sheet again and see it is not like before. The engine was only revved once and got 0.95 on "fast pass". What is that all about? John

Don't know what the smoke test involves but the "clean sheet of paper" reflects the fact that the actual certificate no longer has legal standing. It's the record on the Department's computer that counts nowadays - the fuzz can access it on line on their whizzbang hardware, as can insurance companies and probably Uncle Tom Cobley's market research team

Good point! If you were an unscrupulous individual you could scan and edit the MOT sheet to get rid of any "advisories". John 07 HSE Narvick Black Land Rover Series One Triumph Rocket 111 (sadly gone!) |

If you go on the VOSA site you can set up an MOT reminder, also see all MOT certs (new typr).
