Not every Freelander has/had the locking cap

can you do photo(s) of the hinge side of the hole - I think that the locking pin is on the hinge part of the door.

Looks like there is a non-locking version - depending on vin number

4por4 - Car unlocked, opened the filler cap and then car locked again - see the white pin |

Happy now ![]() (reg 3456b permits a +/- 3 degree angle) ![]() Edit: When unlocked (pin retracted) you can still just see the top of the locking pin, and so I'm sure 4por4 hasn't got a filler cap lock. |

Either that or the solenoid has fallen off, this allows the white plastic pin to end up wher all the odd socks go in the washing machine. solenoid on mine was hiding between the wing and liner. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner |

I would agree that there is probably a problem with it rather than not being fitted.
