In a word - no, as fl1 is an external cap fitted (locked in place) with the ignition key and the fl2 screws in behind a door.

Is the filler flap part of the alarm circuit in case some pikey gents decide they want to open the tank ? and does anybody know if it is fitted with an anti-syphon ? 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

no, i don't think it is, its just a flimsy solenoid that pushes out a bar in to the plastic hole on the flap

probably pry it open with a wet haddock if you wanted, having a locking cap inside might be a good option if one is worried

My old Disco 1 had a similar lockable door but I managed to get a lockable fuel cap to beef up the security......was hoping to do same with FL2 if a locking cap was available.

my2011 vehicles have an wrong fuel device where two flaps close the fuel tank neck off i think this works by the size of the nozel put into the filler neck Question Question i weather it would detect a syphon hose i dont know but if they want it a good sharp object will go through the plastic tank Thumbs Up rainy-city

I thought I had read somewhere on here that there is an anti-syphon thing in the filler pipe - I think it is a small holed mesh to prevent a pipe being pushed down.

Anyway if someone wants your deisel they can just pull the fuel pipe from under the car - can't they Confused

or make a hole in the bottom/side of the tank - after all there is plenty of ground clearance to gain access Whistle 2002 Honda VFR800

To answer the original question - I would think you could get any locking cap from a diesel car and it would fit.

If these 'wrong fuel' devices just screw over the pipe end then another cap would - could be wrong though Very Happy 2002 Honda VFR800

I have a 2008 HSE and I don't have a lock on either the lid or the fuel cap.
Is this standard on all models? Cuatro Por Cuatro

Standard on the diesel 2008 model, but the solenoid can get knocked off, the intermediate plunger then falls out, and you end up with a non-locking fuel filler lid. Solenoid continues to dangle on the end of the wires before falling into the wing liner.
Part number is LLR006363, cost around £17.46 - this is the whole of the filler to body assembly, complete with solenoid. looks like it should cost 10 times that at LR prices. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I tried that. It didn't lock so I posted the question here.

I do not recall seeing that on the manual at all.
Maybe it's only Diesel models.

Is there any pictures of how it looks? Cuatro Por Cuatro

Hi 4por4, My i6 has the locking fuel flap controlled by the central locking system - it's a small white peg inside the filler compartment that pops out to engage with a bracket in the flap when closed.

Could it be a country specific feature?
