The wind may well bring lower ambient temperatures, yes as low as -30, the wind itself, however, will have absolutely no effect on the temperature.

As of this morning the Col Du Lautaret is covered in snow, a compulsory snow chain order is in place for motor vehicles, heavy vehicles (+26t) are banned. Have fun. |

It's Tuesday morning and I'm being pedantic - take the chill out of your response. There is windbag, as well as windcheater, windjammer, windfall etc., but there is no windchill. Just like wind farm or wind chimes it is wind chill. And no, you cannot take the wind out of a discussion that relates to climatic temperatures. if this was a laboratory experiment you could. |

The situation is that the FL2 will remain her Ladyship's "personal private car". In August her new medical practise will open (we are currently renovating an old spinning mill into a new medical centre) and I had hoped to have LR vehicles as "Doctor's Response Vehicles". However, our experience with the Swiss LR official dealer network to date does not inspire confidence, neither have they (the LR dealers) promptly and without hesitation provided a courtesy vehicle when the FL2 has had a problem. Add to that their very slow response to handling warranty issues and the conclusion reached is that it would be unwise to proceed with LR when an immediate response to a patient call is demanded. At a distance of 600mtrs from the medical centre is a very small but long established VW/Skoda dealership. He has contracted to supply stand-in vehicles at a moments notice regardless of the reason for the inoperability of the Centre's vehicles. Therefore orders have been placed for Skoda Yeti 2.0 TDI CR170 4x4 for delivery in July. I trust that this clarifies our position re LR. |
