Current Value

Stratstone rang me the other day and asked how things were etc and would I like to book my 2nd service which is due soon etc. I decided to ask the salesman who sold me mine to give me a price on my car because back in the summer WBAC quoted around £16.5k. He told me they value it at £18k (17k miles on the clock) Very Happy Thumbs Up

Holds it's value well considering I paid about £22k (through finance) after haggling and £1500 cashback deal, so very happy about that.

P.S, I had a look at Defender prices the other day on Autotrader. It has to be one of the best cars for holding it's value. Outstanding! LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I know a few people who have tried to deal with WBAC and it seems common for them to lure you in with a higher price than they intend to pay, then when you go and see them they try and pick faults with your car and offer you alot less.

Never used them personally but just what others are saying.

WBAC is in the same boat as the firms that say they will buy your house. If you were willing to sell at the prices they offer then you'd have no bother at all selling on the open market. Keep away from them, they're Censored Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

I know WBAC will try to knock down the price, but to be fair, when they are offering £1395 more than a dealer against a brand new FL2, you do start to wonder who the p---takers are!!!!

I contacted then through the internet on my fathers car,. It was a vauxhall vectra in good condition for age. After submitting the details " age, millage etc etc" they sent me a email saying they would pay £75. After picking myself up of the floor with fits of laughter I emailed them back saying I could get more than that from the local scrapyard and dont bother contacting me again waisting my time.
Two Days later we sold it for £400, there was many polple interested in it as it was in vgc.
Since that time they keep on emailing me to try and buy the car that was sold some time ago. WHAT PLONKERS.

Yes, we bought the 300 TDI 90 County with a few extras, metalic, stainless A bar Hella Safaris, range rover wheels, a few bits of chequer plate , side steps , NAS spec rear step/ towbar and a glass flip up sun roof for just a shade over £20,000 in May 1998, in June 2011 at 13 years old NFU valued it ( 52,000 miles with a full service history) at £9000 for the insurance payout when it was stolen so around £20 quid a week depreciation, The day they make one that can't be stolen easier that an easy thing I will buy another Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
