Freelander 2 has been playing up so I took it into the main stealers today. Blown intercooler and a blown intercooler hose.

Your comments about caravan towing really do get very boring. never herd of that one b4 how has it blown turbo does not that much pressure in the intercooler, turbo hoses can perish due to age and oil contamination look for a none genuine part or see if yours can be repaired through a radiator repairer ,take no notice of cg he has a fetish thing about vanners he will grow out of it one day, rainy-city

Have not seen an intercooler "blown" in all time involved with high performance competition vehicles or with Ford vehicles over a good many years.

That's a reasonable cost, my old Xtrail cost me £600. |

Mileage 39000. And yes it does go off road, but is always cleaned properly afterwards. Leak was at one end. Will post a photo when I get it from the stealer. 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten. 2008 Auto TD4 Freelander2, now gone? 2013 Auto SD4 Freelander! I note in my car's history the intercooler pipe was split and replaced. I have experienced an intercooler pipe blow on a 18 ton truck - deafening noise and complete loss of power! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
