i a little bit of drilling holes and cutting and some laying down to do it

If your ok at DIY you should be able to do it, the land rover topix website has a guide to fitting accessories

I paid my dealer to fit mine which i bought cheap of eBay, fitted them for £68 and i never had to lay down once

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

You need to beg/steal/borrow a rivnut tool and six inserts that part takes about two minutes to do three pre drilled holes on the under side of the vehicle at each side then you need to unscrew the 6-7 plastic screws that hold the plastic sill trim on that are on the underside gentley pop the sill trim off, on the inside there are markings to show where to cut out , fitting the brackets to the side if the vehicle is the fiddly bit you have pre drilled and taped holes for the brackets to attach to. The brackets that go under Neath fix to the rivnut inserts and each bracket has a number 1-6 start at the front drivers side number one then work back number two then three, number four is front pass anger side then five and six hardest part is getting it all lined up before you tighten it up all in all 30-45 mins per side plus extra 5 mins for cup of tea and praise from swmbo Thumbs Up

I'm interested.

Tried to send you a PM, but the forum blocks me because I haven't made three posts yet. Actually, this is post#2, so I'm nearly there!

I was just after a quick photo or something, so I'm clear which side steps you have. I'm also down south, so would need to sort out a courier.
