Sounds like a faulty boot switch, the handles ain't fully waterproof and allow water ingress which shorts the circuit with corrosion |

Thanks but pretty sure it's not that. The boot thing happens occasionally, the drivers door is almost every time.

been having the exact same problem on mine with the door not locking. When it doesn't lock, I press the lock button 3 times on the keyfob and that does the trick but it's a pain to do this all the time! Have you had any luck on yours? |

Sounds like the latch unit has gone lazy - replacement required. |

The good 'ol LR dealer couldn't fix, just re-lubed which didn't work.

If it is the boot latch you are contemplating replacing, there is a sticky on here on how to do it, price for he lock is about £18, you should be able to do it in around 45 minutes. |
