Playing dirty with cars is big and clever - anyone fancy giving me a hand straitening the fuel tank skid plate - again Very Happy

Having said that there is a fair amount of mud IN the car due to size 13s and muddy wellingtons. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

If any Land Rover is used for what it was built for it will get muddy. So if yours never gets dirty you have the wrong vehicle guys Laughing
We have to get used to not washing our cars for at least 3-4 months of the year because if you do its nuts will freeze up along with several other things Shocked

However it would also seem that where you originate may decide if you think shiny or muddy, which in turn may have something to do with your status in life or where you prefer to be pigeon-holed. For example, it seems that shiny cars in the UK may have higher status than mucky ones, but here it is not uncommon to see LR’s and other 4x4’s parked outside the stock exchange or in their bank managers parking place with “mud from a spray-box” that they have squirted over their 4x4’s to indicate they have actually driven out of town, when they haven’t Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I like the mud. In fact, I swapped the flash looking 18inch alloys for the pretty boring 17inch version so I could fit the offroad tyres. Whilst I like the mud, I don't really like it all over the side of the vehicle. Worse still, I don't like all of the little rocks that tend to travel with the mud up the side of my vehicle putting an increasing number of little chips in the paint. To someone's earlier point - why do LR produce a vehicle positioned in the market to go offroad without mud flaps. Nonetheless, there are many out there who say that the flaps everyone is using don't do a brilliant job. It seems there's aren't many choices. I was hopeing there might be a few aftermarket choices these days but it seems there's the LR flaps or exact copies of the LR flaps! ! ! ! Is anyone aware of any serious oversized mothereffing flaps that hang right down and even stop stones flicking up on the the front of the camper trailer or caravan???
