So are those 'some days' cold days or does it happen above 5 degrees C as well. The glowplugs only come into operation below that temperature. |

Yes, but its alot slower than it should be according to the table below, it never use to take this long to start

When you say 'slow starting', is the engine cranking but slow in firing or is there nothing at all (delay) and when it does crank, it starts |

Then one suspect would be Fuel filter or pump. |

you need to remember the voltage drop & keep mentioning in other posts ! It may be turning over OK but may be no current left to keep glow plugs fired up to max heat etc etc

Had this problem on my 2007. Changed the glow plugs and everything was ok. Some of the first models was delivered with a bad patch of glowplugs. FL2, TD4 HSE
