How I read it he wasn't taking anything, it's just he doesn't rate the Prius highly and found it amusing |

I went into Stratstone Bury when I was looking to buy and they didnt give me the time of day, their loss as I just went to Williams LR in Hulme and the sales guy there, Kevin Greenhalgh was absolutely fantastic! It was a MUCH nicer showroom and they had a lot more choice of FL2's there over Bury which just seemed to interested in selling brand new RR's (lovely car but SOOO much money!!). Kevin showed me all the FL2's within my budget that matched the spec I wanted, bearing in mind I was coming from a hatch back and didnt have a clue about 4x4's he was very knowledgable and really helped me make an informed decision. There never felt any pressure to hurry up or anything and no hard sell approach, which I really appreciate as when people start to play hard ball I just shut down and wont buy out of principal!

Buying a new car is a big layout and unlike a house is not an investment. It is therefore disappointing when you are trying to give people a wad of your hard earned money and it doesn’t go well. I have my car now and will put this down to experience. Interesting enough I have just got an email from Stratstone asking how the sale went! |

Just like to confirm my experience of Williams LR Hume was the same. No pressure but very helpful and knowledgeable staff. My sales guy was Steve Atkinson who had the patience of a saint!

Pretty much the exact opposite of my experience. I tried Williams Manchester first and not one person had the decency to even exchange the time of day with myself or my wife in over 40 minutes of looking. A hard pressed receptionist who didn't know any details on the vehicle I was looking at "Disco 4 XS" tried to stop a sales rep on his way in, to put our questions to him and was almost admonished for daring to stop him and ask a question. Went to Stratstones Bury and was treated like royalty. Salesman "Wayne Jones" knew his stuff, was very courteous and came up with a great discounted price. I had some initial problems with the car and the servicing side could have been handled better, but was sorted to a high standard eventually. It took Williams Manchester 12 months from my initial interest over the phone to even send out a brochure on the FL2. |

Stratstone Landrover in Edinburgh is now closed, all the windows are now boarded up. They still have the Jaguar garage at Corstorphine, Edinburgh. |
