Strange juder when putting my foot down?

Hi all,

Started noticing a juddering on my 2010 GS manual. For example I'm doing 55mph on the motorway and want to get up to 70 to over take I drop a gear and for a couple of seconds the car judders. You see the revs hunt up and down a little, probably 100rpm either way. Any ideas? seems like engine management is taking over? It doesn't do it if you put your foot hard down to get away from the lights?!

Thanks all! Bow down

Hmmm that doesn't sound right at all.....never experienced that...a trip back to the dealer I suspect.

Not wishing to worry you but this is how the TD5 I had started behaving, didn't last long though, it then did it all the time at any speed or gear. DMF replaced and all ok again Sad

Ay up Stownrow,
When my clutch began to slip, i didn't get any judder. It only slipped in a higher gear(s) similar to how you described and the rpm would increase by 200 rpm or so with no increase in road speed. Does happen to your FL? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Clutch judder is usually associated with worn engine/gearbox mountings and or oil contamination of the clutch linings.
