Had my Buckingham Blue SD4 for 3 months now. As I've posted before, I got fed up waiting for the Orkney Grey car I ordered (kept being delayed during Evoque launch). What a mistake!

I am used to washing my cars twice a year, not twice a month. It is impossible to keep clean. The general view on here is that after washing black and other dark cars keep clean for 5 minutes. You must be joking - it's about 5 seconds!

My views were confirmed yesterday when we took the dogs to a local country park and parked next to another 2011 SD4. The other FL2 was in Stornaway and although it had the same amount of filth on the bodywork it hardly showed.

The other disadvantage I've found is the way hedgerow scratches stand out. On my last silver car they were almost invisible, even after 7 years!

Why do people buy black and dark blue cars?

BTW Buckingham Blue looked great in the showroom. My other half thought it was stunning. Anyway, were stuck with it now. Just as well it's such a good vehicle to drive.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Aintree Green

I must say I do like the blue or the red FL2, but the only reason I got Stornoway Grey is cus I'm lazy when it comes to cleaning cars, even driving to the car wash put me out.

New members or potential owners will always bring up mpg auto manual

Don't read them if you don't like the same subject coming up, I don't bother reading everything nowadays Wink

They could always do a search and find past topics! Very Happy

It's when you view recent posts and these ones crop up that in a fit of desperation you have a peek, hoping against hope there is something different, knowing there won't be. It is getting a bit Eventide Home on here in truth.

Create something then, I have tried, some threads bomb others stimulate a little debate. These "same" old threads were enjoyable to you once, yes it gets tedious, the current threads are more banter and goading than constructive I agree.

I don't know I ever got excited over MPG or colour. If it wasn't for all the other colors, black wouldn't look so good, so I am happy to coexist with silver etc. white is a no, no, but we won't get on that topic least we upset Nick. Of course if anyone knows any jokes that won't offend the hairdressing community?
