I'm sorry to hear your dilema, that makes my blood boil. I bought one of these & when I park I reverse in the space and leave the camera on. Just plug it in to the constant live cig socket. The camera is so discreet you cant see it tucked above the interior mirror.
Successfully had someone prosecuted after some guy hit the car next to me and drove off but it was on my camera.
Worth every penny.

looks a nice unit oldgeezer, imagine it would be a bit pricey ??

Iain

ps had a closer look at the website, and not too expensive depending on which model you go for.
is it a DIY fit or do you need to use their fitting service ?

From what I see that is as much use as tits on a fish. You would need prob 8 units covering each point of the car, did not see if it had IR. and to get the Censored Who did my car, you would need to get the VRN and the actual incident to prove anything!

Like when someone gets burgled they get new locks fitted...after the horse has bolted etc.

But if you did have the T0ssers reg you could at least get yourself a portion of REVENGE Evil or Very Mad

I'd seriously look at getting another quote - £498 + VAT seems excessive. Might even be worth trying Chips Away, Halfords or one of the other Dent Removal companies and see what they come up with. At a guess £498 + VAT looks like a standard quote for an insurance job rather than one where the customer is paying. Also does it include a loan car?

Moral of story - don't go to the pub! Nothing good ever happens there, look at CG! Took a right good kicking.

Ouch, but I am not surprised. A small 5p type dink to the drivers door is coating me £100, they have to spray the whole door, but then the wife's cousin owns the place, so dare say it's cheap.

Landy its a video camera with wide angle lens & you would be shocked at how much it captures. If I reverse in a parking space as I already mentioned then it covers the a vehicle with each side no problem and captures the reg number of the car. It records at 5 frames per second but on sensing any excess movement or impact switches to 25 fr per sec.
Mine has a 16 g card, that was enough to record 3800 mile road trip in the states ! when it fills the card it just overwrites but excludes any locked files recorded by the YYZ sensors.
Piece of cake to fit, took me about 30 mins including tucking all the cable out the way & as I said I have had successful prosecutions, one where a car hit a parked car next to me caught on camera & one where my wife's car was damaged by a random incident at night in a town center caught on camera which led to a prosecution of criminal damage ! Brilliant result as the numpty who was Censored had never had a record before that incident & he was only 17 so taught him a lesson & hopefully struggles to get a job now with a record Thumbs Up
I would post a few screen shots but I just struggle for some reason to post them on this site.
