may be because in 2012 jan if you have HID head lamps become part of the mot test ie thay must be fitted with h/l wash system and self leveling system as well blue style bulbs are out any of these not fitted on the hid lamps or blue style h/l bulbs your car will fail its mot so may be sellers are trying to get rid Question rainy-city

surely you'd put your originals back in, pass the mot then refit xenons,

not something I would do of course, but it happens At work

sounds like a plan,

I assume the xenon units just plug in - no extra wireing, then u need the software update

Ah but would you need to 'downdate' the software when refitting the halogens at MOT time? Question Cheers,

No you don't. 10forcash ticked the box on the Autologic device when I had halogens fitted, in preparation of Xenons. He said it wouldn't make any difference and it didn't.

Email 10forcash, he travels about a bit. I got him at a Northumberland at a Disco meet. I now need the Disco done, there is a guy on there that has an Autologic, but it might just be for a specific model. Saying that, I think you have to accept it might involve a travel to get it done.
