Lemonwatch.....

A few weeks ago I asked the forum's advice on a MY2007 i6 HSE that I was considering and was generally advised to start running and not stop until I reached a main stealer's forecourt.

I have, of course, taken all your thoughtful and incite full comments on board and then bought the damn thing anyway! My decision came down to a number of factors:

1) I love the car - the looks, the way it drives, the colour (Stornoway), the spec, all the clever little bits and pieces
2) the price, I got a damn good price for a 42k, FSH motor of this spec so I can afford a good (main dealer labour, approved parts, w&t inclusive) after market warranty
3) the main issue with the car, non functioning instrument binnacle has been sorted by a main dealer (Hunters Guildford) by replacing the whole unit
4) the dealer is very local - I know where he lives! - and realises that I know my way round the sales of goods act
5) I am a contrary old git who likes to swim against the tide and sees the petrol duty I will be paying as my own personal boost to the economy

Anyway, it now sits on the drive and I will keep you up to date with the plethora of problems, issues, challenges and stops at petrol stations that I am bound to have. I have a day trip from Surrey to Liverpool planned for Friday so that should fill me in on a few pointers to what owning a "lemon" FL2 really means!

I paired my wife's 3GS with no problem, so not sure why you can't.
Is there a free slot available?

Could it be a problem with the software on the car? Was the iPhone 3GS out when the car was built?? Tried again, problem solved. Apparently it connects faster and has less background noise than with a diseasel as well!

Potential problem number 2....

The second sweet smell of citrus has appeared - damn intermittent fob takes multiple presses / angles to open and close. I have read the posts and suspect a dying rechargeable battery but I have only done very short runs so it might not have had a chance to recharge properly.

Anyone got an idea of how long a full charge should take? Is it any more than the ten minute sprints I have had to the gym / office so far?
