Only bought the FL in August....had a hip replacement on 17th November (had the other one done 12 years ago) which has gone wrong ( I could write an essay on the pain related to dislocation!) and has to be done again in the new year. That means a further 6 weeks of not being able to drive after that which will take me to March which means I will probably miss any snow. Even if the weather is dry I can't ride the bike either....its all a real bummer! I suppose its all my own fault for still playing football every week at 50 and screwing my hips up.

Ah well, moan over and I will get back to my restricted, sad, Paracetamol laced existence!  John

My mums just had her ankle fused due to arthritis, 6 weeks in a cast, unable to put any pressure on it, cast came off a couple of weeks back and her ankle hurts more that it did before, having an injection shortly to help with the pain and if that doesn't work, they can fuse another part which will mean another six weeks or so in a pot

If you'd like any of us to pop down and drive your FL or bike around so you can see them in action - just let us know

ouch - I am having a ankle fusion next year - no looking forward...  

Had a left THR (total hip replacement) on March 30th. Fantastic result. Only 3 nights in hospital. Able to work again within 6 weeks. Previously had a Passat DSG to help the "clutch leg". Now fixed I have the Freelander! Clutches now no problem - trucks too! (Last night drove a 28 ton Scania with 4 over 4 to Midsummer Norton & back, - gear changing up & down all the way).
