Good news is they have all been added to our company car list together with the Evoque, bad news is to get one I'd have to pay a personal contribution and my BIK tax would rocket ...... Still 12 months till I have to replace the Beemer, but I am well impressed with the other half's Freelander 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

My pal has a 61 plate Q5. Nice car, but definitely more a "car" than a 4x4 or SUV or whatever (you choose). Although it is new I cannot get excited about it. I prefer my Freelander all round but for ONE thing: The Audi Sat Nav is so good, graphics, function, etc. It puts the LR version to shame - I definitely have a crap nav! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

And they didn't even test them in the snow! Laughing Then the X3 and Q5 would have been stuck in the snow while the FL2 drove of. Laughing 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

You would not pay BIK tax on any contribution you make.

If you have a £30k car, and pay for example £500 torwards it, your BIK tax bill would be based on £25000 and not £30,000. the government can't charge BIK tax on something you have paid for. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Might I add to this older post?
.
A friend has an Audi Q5.
.
He reports it as having no engine oil dipstick; instead it has a dashboard instruction message to top the oil with 1 litre when it runs low .
He is putting in One Litre for every tankfull of petrol as the message keeps on popping up,
Says it's getting rather expensive to own. Apparently this is a reported problem elsewhere.
.
I'll stick with my Freelie and TSO!
.
Kind regards from Fred.

Oil usage must have changed. In the 90s various family members had a couple of A4 & a couple of A6. Not one of them used a drop of oil. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

In the last 10 years we have had 3 new TDi Audis. 2 A3s which drank oil - we had 2 spare bottles in the boot at all times. Audi said this was ok. Never had a problem with either car. Did lots of miles.

Current one is an A4, essentially the same engine as the last. Never had an oil warning in 4 years. Odd. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…
