Well got the car back from Guy Salmon they had it for 4 days and not sure what they did as they never gave me any paperwork, but i can see there is a new nearside rear shock absorber and they have change a bearing in the rear diff .
Unfortunately the noise is still there, spoke to the service manager and he is going to make some enquiries? VULCAN XH558 - Cold war warrior lives on !

Well finally i think its sorted!, not sure what they have done as they have never given us any paperwork but i think they have changed the roll bar bushes and the off side suspension leg, and all is now quiet.

I've taken my 10 plate FL2 back to the dealers about my suspension squeaking when going over speed bumps, all they did was re-grease the suspension.

Noise is still there especially in cool/cold weather.

As was stated in this thread: I do not expect a car costing as much as this to have noisy suspension.

I will wait for the weather to get a little colder, then take it back to them to (try) and sort it out.

THERE ARE NO Greasing points in Freelander's suspension!

While driving on speed bumps as soon as you leave the bump, the suspension tries to keep the wheel in contact with the road, resulting in full oppening of the shock absorber. Unfortunately for a 4X4 car, the down travel of the front suspension of the Freelander 2 is just 6,5cm. Therefore the suspension comes to its down limit, resulting in a big tag noise.

I hope I was helpfull!

Thanks Laspae,

With regard to the "Greasing" of the suspension. That's what the dealership said to me. I'll have to question them about that!

With regard to the squeaking suspension, It's not a thump or bang, it's a squeak: "Squeeeaaaak" Very Happy
