Speedometer Reading

Any plans for a "digital" speedometer readout? Am I the only person having trouble staying speed-limit legal with the small numbers? Craig

Try setting the cruise at the speed limit and driving on that or setting the speed warning chime in the driver info centre to bong at the speed limit How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Stornoway Grey
yeah

Yeah I've had that problem too, small numbers and a very eager TD4 engine. It cruises so well at 95mph, it feels just like 75mph! Ok, I realise that explanation may not cut with our traffic police or a speed camera photo. Rolling Eyes

My wife's Citroen has a digital speed readout so large that if you couldn't read it you really shouldn't be driving! Laughing

Do you have an "i" button on the end of the left hand column stalk for the driver info system of your Freelander? If so press it in and scroll through the displays until you get to the >> and << display. Now on the steering wheel press the >> or << buttons for the radio tuner/ cd changer and that should scroll you through the options like reverse dipping mirrors on/off, follow me home lights timer setting and eventually you will get the speed warning setting! Hope that helps - it may be a little different on an F2 - that is how I set it (in fact I switched it off!) on the Sport How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

I don't think we have this function on the fl2, wish we did though, the 'i' button is just for the mpg, range, avg speed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Have just been reading the 2008 MY Freelander2 Owners Manual on the LR GTR website NP and it would appear to be what you say.................... oh well - something to ask for for 2009MY! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

We are even more spoiled than the guys who have FFRR's as we have performance toys like the Dynamic Response that they won't be getting until 2009MY. DR is just amazing in the way that it keeps such a topheavy car totally flat in corners (there is ZERO body roll at speed) even at insane speeds and unlike my last RRS this one doesn't wallow in dips and rises on fast roads. Fitting DR to the FFRR will transform it's roadholding - especially on the S/C versions which I have read in some magazines, is reckoned to be too powerful for the chassis. Shocked How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
